![]() Like anything there's a learning curve, but with all the YouTube videos available today, all you have to do is ask the right question. Anyhow, I've always loved the intuitive workflow, that for me just works. I've seen 50-100 free things with some of the Free Updates. I then bought a PreSonus interface that included the Free Version of StudioOne (Artist) I then moved to Studio One Professional, and the free stuff they through in with some of their updates is at times staggering. the "faders" moving horizontally just didn't look right to any mixer I'd ever been on. Did my first few recordings with it., but never liked the layout. ![]() I started on Reaper, looked at Audacity, and then bought a Mac mainly because of GarageBand. Remember, every DAW, out of the gate, all we need to learn is how to arm a track with the proper input device, make sure we are not overdriving the input signal and then hit the red button and go ! Everything else we add if and when we need it. Studio One uses some different terminology but I believe Pro Tools users can sit in the Studio One Drivers seat in just a few minutes. The workflows are very similar and to me make very good sense. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Videoīob, while I am a Pro Tools user, if I had to move to another DAW it would be Studio One. Thanks again for the feedback and encouragement. They haven't updated their audio interface unit since 2013 (USB-2 - 8 ms latency ), and the V-Studio 2000-CD was the last model of the series. It seems that Roland has dropped out of the race, though. Until now, my multi-track recordings have all been on Roland V-Studio hardware. Please help, it´s only working when I open restart Pro Tools and then only first tim, using the button again makes only roll functions. The Zoom Function is working one time, than no more. GarageBand - not really made for musicians Hi, I´m using Faderport 8 on a Mac with Pro Tools 11.Studio One looks like a very good DAW, and the fact that several of you are using it professionally is encouraging to me. I used a Behringer mixer for my mics on Stella. I'm as wary of Behringer as he is of PreSonus. I'm going to buy it but, mindful of Jack Stoner's advise, I'll put it through all of its paces to make sure it's not defective. Mackie HUI doesn’t work if you have multiple DAWs running on the same machine at the same time. Thanks, everyone, for your feedback. So you have to manually bank to channel/track 65 on the FaderPort to change volume via a hardware Fader.ĮUCON on the other hand allows to auto bank to a selected channel/track in any EUCON enabled DAW.ĮUCON is also designed to see multiple open DAWs even on a network. Meaning if you Setup the FaderPort in Pro Tools and you click on track 65 the FaderPort won’t follow because you are above channel 8. Pro Tools and Cubase force you to use Mackie HUI which is an ancient protocol and doesn’t auto bank above 8 channels/tracks. The single Fader FaderPort unit only autobanks through all available tracks/channels in a project if you use logic/studio one or reaper. Haven’t tried the new 8 or 16 FaderPort Hardware yet. I find it useless in combination with Pro Tools and Cubase. I’m using it with the free iPad PT|CONTROL app.Īs a hardware single fader unit I use the PreSonus FaderPort and it works well with Logic and Studio One. Back to now I use Cubase/Pro Tools and Logic on current projects and EUCON is the only game in town that allows to switch between DAWs on the fly and have everything accessible. So over time my artist mix collected dust and I sold it eventually. I had the euphonix artist mix (silver) it worked flawlessly until avid took over and screwed up the EUCON protocol. ![]()
